Remember every site walk.

zz8 is a memory for people who work on building sites. It rides along on a pair of camera glasses, or walks beside you on a robot dog. It will remember what was seen, where and when. Back at the same spot, it speaks up before you ask. We are building it now; the first pilot starts in 2027.

Forsite engineers, project managers, consultants, inspectors, and architects on site visits.

01what it does

It remembers the site, so you don’t have to.

You walk past. It reminds you.

Back at a spot you flagged last time, a short line appears in the lens: “Sealant recoat due here.” You did not have to look anything up.

You say “remember this”. It keeps it.

Cable drums that moved, a crack that was not there last week, what the contractor just promised. zz8 keeps the seconds around your words, with the spot and the time. No forms, no dictation.

You ask. It answers with the photo.

“When did the drums move?” “Where is the photo of that junction box?” zz8 answers with the frame, the words and the time behind it. Every memory comes with its receipts.

You go home. The day is done.

Nothing to write up tonight. The walk is kept, with every photo and time, and you get your evening back.

02how it works

Three steps. No typing.

bring it

Glasses, when a camera on your face suits the site: one line of text in the lens. Or a robot dog that walks the site with you, so no one is filming anyone. We are testing both this year.

remember

When you tell zz8 to remember something, it keeps the moment with its spot on site, the time and who was there. Nothing is filed, tagged or typed.

iii.

speak up

When you are back at a spot with a memory, one line appears in the lens. Read it or ignore it. It goes away on its own.

03a day on site

One walk, as zz8 sees it.

Arrive. The site agreed to zz8 last week and everyone was briefed. The glasses go on.

keptCable drums moved to level 3. You said “zz8, remember this.” It kept the photo, the spot and the time.

recallSealant recoat due here. You flagged this joint last Tuesday. It comes back, unprompted, when you reach the spot.

You ask “where’s the photo of that junction box?” The lens shows Thursday, 14:20, level 2, with the picture.

Glasses off for the client meeting. Nothing is recorded while they are off or in the case.

Back at the office. The day’s memories are kept, each with its photo, its words and its time. Nothing to write up.

04privacy, plainly

Everyone on site knows.

Consent comes first. The main contractor agrees before the pilot starts, and everyone on site is briefed and asked. If a site says no, zz8 is not worn there. Anyone who opts out is blurred out and not recorded.

You can see it recording. A light on the glasses, or on the dog, shows when the camera is on, and it is never hidden. Recording only happens while the glasses are worn and on. Take them off, close them, or leave them in the case and nothing is captured.

You can see all of it. Everything zz8 holds about your projects is yours to look at, correct, or have removed. No hidden copies, no black box.

Singapore law applies. Recording follows the Personal Data Protection Act. Anyone on site can ask what was recorded about them and ask for it to be removed.

05questions we get
How long does the battery last?

The target is a full shift on one charge. Battery is one of the things we are testing when we choose the glasses this year. Pilot partners get the real number from the first week, not a brochure figure.

How clunky is it?

The glasses look like glasses. There is no headset and nothing in front of your eyes. A short line of text appears in the lens only when zz8 has something to say, and goes away on its own.

Will I get in trouble for wearing a camera on site?

No. zz8 is only worn on sites where the main contractor has agreed and the site team has consented. Consent and governance are part of the pilot, under Singapore’s PDPA, and we handle the paperwork with you. You are never asked to record anywhere that has not said yes.

Glasses or a robot dog?

Whichever the site is comfortable with. zz8 is the memory, not the device. Through the end of 2026 we are testing off-the-shelf glasses, a phone, a clip-on camera and a four-legged robot like the ones walking Singapore’s MRT stations. A dog carries the camera for you, so you are not the person wearing one. Your memories are the same either way.

Can I use it today?

Not yet. zz8 is being built now. A live demo on a real site is due in April 2027 and the six-month pilot runs from mid-2027. This page shows what it will do; the pilot decides whether it earns its place.

want it on your sites?

Leave your details. We’ll send you the pilot pack and tell you when zz8 is ready to wear. The first sites are in Singapore, from 2027.
